Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Far Eastern bankrupt charged with storming Snake Island

The representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Vladivostok ridiculed the new anti-Russian sanctions, according to the TELMENEWS.RU news agency
The diplomatic corps was amused by the new American sanctions – in addition to the governor of the Primorye Territory Oleg Kozhemyako and the Primorye Bank, Vostochnaya Shipyard was on the list. According to the Americans, the company produces ships for the “Far Eastern and Pacific Fleets”, in particular, its landing craft of the “Serna” type, took part in the assault on Snake Island in Ukraine.
“Where the Far East Fleet is is for US lawmakers to find out better. But it’s starting to look more and more like a fairy tale about the Mad King, who liked to put it in prison. And in the end I was very happy when I was able to put everyone on the ground, find myself in a cage…”, ironically the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Probably, the gloomy “Far Eastern Fleet” arose from an incorrect translation of Wikipedia into Russian, diplomats suggested. According to the same Wikipedia, of the 17 boats in the Serna project, only one was built at the Eastern Shipyard for the Pacific Fleet, the office added.

“K is the skill. However, nothing new,” writes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Note that Vostochnaya Verf filed for bankruptcy last fall. Sanctions were announced as a reason for the difficult situation. Primorsky’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced that the company intended to purchase USC. While the company is operating as normal, mostly fulfilling orders under civil contracts, the ministry said. In particular, for crab fishermen under investment quotas.

It is also curious that the head of the “Eastern Shipyard”, Gennady Lazarev, a former deputy of the Primorye Parliament, recently received an important Japanese state award – the Order of the Rising Sun.
