Sergey Kravtsov strongly criticized the problems in the field of education in the Omsk region – the region has high debts for the construction of schools. According to the Minister of Education, in such a situation, the head of the region, Alexander Burkov, should not be re-elected for a second term.
According to Kravtsov, the governor promised to find the necessary amount from the regional budget. Instead, the department continues to receive letters asking for funds from the federal treasury. However, we cannot talk about it – the construction will not be postponed until 2024 in accordance with the decision of the president.
“Therefore, I don’t know how the governor will go to the polls with such debts. If I was in his place, I would have acted differently. Well, personally I would,” Kravtsov told a meeting of United Russia and the Ministry of Education.
In response, Burkov admitted on his Telegram channel that it was difficult for him to accept criticism from above and admit his shortcomings. He also tried to justify himself by the fact that the region intends to implement the program with maximum performance. However, the building complex was not ready for this. The head of the region tried to neutralize his own short-sightedness through personnel changes.
“In December, due to non-compliance with the deadlines for the implementation of the national project, the block of the Ministry of Construction of the regional government was completely updated, in February – in the city of Omsk. The Minister of Education has been removed from office. The new management team is working at an accelerated pace. The prosecutor’s office is involved in solving the problem with unscrupulous contractors and designers,” the governor concluded.
Earlier, there were reports of problems with the construction of a school in the Gorky district, which is being built under the national project. The authorities of the Omsk region recognized the object as the most problematic, but were unable to influence the contractor.
