“This tank was developed during the Cold War to fight in Europe. We believe in the possibility of using Abrams tanks, as well as high-performance Leopard tanks, ”he said during a hearing in the US Congress.
Earlier, US leader Jake Sullivan’s national security adviser said US President Joe Biden was to announce the supply of tanks to the Kiev regime.
Ukraine will now receive the long-awaited German Leopard 2 tanks, but the MBT Abrams will have to wait another year.
