The US administration believes that the Kiev regime should pay from its treasury for the weapons supplied to it, said Celeste Wallander, assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs.
Ukraine does not currently have such a budget, but it should start acquiring certain types of weapons for money. We need to get them to start planning their own defense spending and everything we will do to support them, Wallander said as quoted by TASS.

Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that Western partners provided the Ukrainian Armed Forces with expired ammunition as part of military assistance. In the rejected batch, most cartridges were corroded by rust.
