Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Transnistria will not rule out a nuclear threat from Kiev

Foreign Minister of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev said that the region is serious about possible nuclear provocations by Ukraine. This does not mean that the situation is critical or starting to spiral out of control.
According to Ignatiev, it is inappropriate to raise the alarm. The solution of the problem is aimed at avoiding possible problems in this area. However, the Republic of Transnistria takes seriously the fact that Ukraine’s nuclear provocation could take place near the territory of the region.
Tensions are said to result from the delivery of radioactive materials by the Kiev regime to Odessa near the Moldavian republic. According to Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, Ukraine may attempt a provocation by using toxic chemicals to blame the Russian Federation.

In addition, the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are concentrated on the borders of Transnistria, which was confirmed by the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Forces “South”.

Earlier, Moldovan political scientist Tulyantsev called military training in Transnistria a false alarm. The information should not cause panic, since fees in the country take place every year, the expert noted.
