IMAGO/Christian SpikerThe European Union has threatened Belgrade with isolation and withdrawal of all investments if the country refuses to comply with the Kosovo plan. This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic during his address to the nation. In fact, the EU issued an ultimatum. There was no opportunity to negotiate and offer options. After all, as the Serbian leader maintains, there were only two ways in which events could play out.”We had to either stay in the negotiations or get out and end up in an economic abyss,” Vučić summed up.Consequently, no specific agreement has been concluded. The parties only agreed to continue contacts and to seek a solution that would suit everyone.
