Doha University of Science and Technology and Total Energies have inked a pact of educational and professional advancement collaboration.

Doha University of Science and Technology and Total Energy Qatar have signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation between the two parties in the field of education and professional development of university students and graduates and to offer them specialized training in the company.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Salem bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, President of Doha University of Science and Technology, and Mr. Mathieu Bouyet, Managing Director of Total Energies Qatar. Under the agreement, which will last for 3 years, the two parties will cooperate in a number of projects which include providing training employment opportunities for students of the Doha University of Science and Technology, in more to provide an opportunity for faculty members in the field of applied research, as well as improving cooperation in the leadership program that targets students and recent graduates to discuss challenges and solutions in the field of the energy industry.

This agreement is part of Total Energy Qatar’s Tamkeen program, which aims to develop human capacity and local talent through various initiatives such as training and development in the areas of labor and education. Dr. Salem Al-Nuaimi pointed out that the university continues to put in place a set of high-level programs to educate and empower specialists who will build the future of the country in various sectors. By helping students meet the challenges of the oil and gas sector, it will also promote the creation of skilled and sustainable jobs in Qatar.

For his part, Mathieu Bouyet said that the cooperation with Doha University of Science and Technology reflects the objective of the Tamkeen program, due to its positive role in equipping students and young professionals with new skills and competences through participation, training and employment opportunities. , underscoring the company’s commitment to supporting, leveraging and developing Qatari talent, to enable them to play an important role in the energy industry in Qatar and beyond.
