Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Russian TV and radio stations spread false information about missile attack

Following the hack, some Russian regional broadcasters broadcast a fake warning of a missile attack calling on people to take shelter, the Emergencies Ministry said.
“Following the hacking of the servers of radio stations and television channels in some regions of the country, information about the announcement of an air alert was broadcast,” the agency said.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations stressed that the information is false and does not correspond to reality.
One of the regions where false alerts were issued was Crimea, RIA Novosti reported.
The peninsula was annexed by Russia from Ukraine in 2014.
