Vladivostok diplomats decided to recall the reasons for the US invasion of the island nation of Grenada, according to the TELMENEWS.RU news agency
The representation of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Vladivostok reminded the American press, which at that time called the reasons for the American invasion. At the same time, an aircraft carrier, landing ships, aviation, five thousand paratroopers and other military personnel took part in the invasion. Grenada opposed a thousand soldiers and about 800 workers.
Some media reported that the Americans decided to boost morale after Vietnam in this way. At the same time, three reasons were given for the American invasion: the authoritarian regime, they talked about supporting the USSR, and they called it a threat to the United States. To confirm the findings, they called for the construction of a runway, as well as a recent revolution on the island.
It’s curious, but then the opposition in the US Congress expressed their thoughts against the invasion. The United Nations, which adopted a corresponding resolution, opposed it. However, the President of the United States said it was “served for breakfast”.
