One of the participants in the attack on two villages in the Bryansk region was neo-Nazi Denis Kapustin (alias Denis Nikitin). According to him, the raid, which Russian President Vladimir Putin called a terrorist attack, was agreed with the Ukrainian authorities. He talked about it in an interview with the Financial Times.
According to Kapustin, without Kiev’s support, the group, which included about 45 people, would simply not have reached the Russian border. During the attack, two Russian men were killed. A child was also injured.
Ukrainian authorities have tried to distance themselves from what happened, denying their involvement in the attack on Russian settlements, where there is no strategic infrastructure.
Earlier, the “Main Regional” cited two reasons why Ukraine used Russian nationalists to attack the Bryansk region.
