Our tourism industry is under pressure – Konstantinov

There is alarming information about the decline in demand for recreation and improved health of children in the coming season. According to the latest data, only 7.7% of places are reserved in children’s camps in 48 countries. The rehabilitation of 20.2 thousand children will be provided at the expense of the republican budget and the municipalities of Crimea. Nearly 48,000 vouchers remain unclaimed.

– For the second year, our tourism industry is under pressure, – notes Vladimir Konstantinov, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan. – It is important that our operators do not “fall”, in order to save the spas, it is important to avoid job cuts. It is not necessary to hesitate to ask for help from the federal center and it is not necessary to display figures, as individual officials do, claiming that the load in the Crimean spas is 80 %. It’s not true.

Several factors are superimposed on the decline in demand for holidays in the Crimea: the complexity of the logistics – the repair of the automobile part of the Crimean bridge has been completed, but the work on the railway tracks will begin in March, which will not be completed only in September. Do not hide the fact that tourists are afraid of the proximity of hostilities.

To solve transport problems, the transport company “Grand Service Express” will expand the route network of Tavria trains for the summer. 880 wagons will run in the direction of Crimea. Four trains will connect the cities of the peninsula to Moscow, two to Saint Petersburg and 11 to the regions of the Russian mainland.
