TASS: Roman Kostomarov started to move

Dmitri GolubovitchThere is a positive trend in figure skater Roman Kostomarov’s condition, according to a source familiar with the situation.Roman Kostomarov, Olympic champion in pair dances on ice, was admitted to hospital on January 10 with pneumonia. Later he was transferred to Kommunarka, where until recently the athlete was sedated. Reports appeared in the media about the amputation of both of the skater’s feet due to developing sepsis, some publications also wrote about the operation on the hands. At the end of February, it became known about the spasm of the cerebral vessels – the doctors quickly reacted to the situation.“He has started to recover, he can already move a bit. It takes him some time to fully recover. However, we can note a positive trend in his condition,” the source said. TASS March 4.
