The only Orenburg descending sail in the world arrived in Kaliningrad. It was delivered from the Orenburg Museum of Fine Arts to the Museum of the World Ocean.
“The idea of creating an unusual sail was born while sailing on a yacht,” said Svetlana Sivkova, director general of the Museum of the World Ocean.
According to her, quoted by the press service of the museum, this happened when the director of the Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts, Yury Komlev, was in Kaliningrad. He looked at the embankment and the museum ships from the river and thought why not set sail.
The work was carried out at the Orenburgshal enterprise. The veil is a fluffy lace fabric measuring 4×6 meters.
The presentation of the object on the mast of the Rusna kurenas will take place during the Baltic Cultural Forum.
Earlier, MK in Kaliningrad reported that the World Ocean Museum in Kaliningrad received a rare collection of seashells.
