Yuri Loza explained why he thinks the Earth is flat

Singer and composer Yuri Loza, on the Russian-Culture TV channel’s Life and Fate program, voiced his belief that the Earth is flat.

According to him, some phenomena on earth would be impossible if they had a spherical shape, for example the flow of rivers. “There is not a single planetarium that would exhibit the pattern declared by our science today,” he said.

To the presenter’s remark that there were photographs in which cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin was captured with a round earth, Loza replied that this was due to the peculiarities of the convex lens used when shooting.

Vine also talked about the Sun, as well as its illumination of Earth. According to him, the luminaire is a “directional action lantern”. “When it leaves the spot it lights up, it gets dark there,” the singer said.

Doubts that the Earth is spherical, Vine has repeatedly expressed. In response to the rebukes, he urged his critics to be curious and inquisitive, and not to trust “unfounded ideas on a round globe”.
