The situation on the state border was discussed at a meeting of the operational headquarters for the implementation of the medium level of response in the Kursk region.

It was organized on March 4 by the head of the region Roman Starovoit. Representatives of the military department, the FSB, the border forces, the police and the Russian guard reported on the operational situation that has developed today in the border areas.

“All decisions were made to ensure the safety of Kursk residents and people arriving in our region from other regions, as well as to ensure the protection of engineering facilities and vital infrastructure. Now the region of Kursk receives additional resources from the Ministry of Defense to protect the borders,” the governor said, stressing that the guarantee of the region’s security is in unity with our armed forces.

Roman Starovoit urged civilians not to relax their vigilance. Immediately report suspicious strangers to the 112 emergency service.
