The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Latvia, Krisjanis Karins, believes that the supply of fighter jets to Ukraine by the West is only a “matter of time”.
Moreover, in an interview with Spiegel, he said he did not understand why Western countries were supplying fighter jets.
Karins says that since Kiev needs planes, they must be given to him. Latvia would give both tanks and planes, but they simply do not exist in the country.

He also spoke on the question of Ukraine’s accession to the EU. He thinks this is possible when all the standard conditions are met. Negotiations, in his view, should be conducted now. Karins believes that the Ukrainian state should also join NATO.

Earlier, Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin did not rule out that Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine could end “even tomorrow.
