The United States and its allies are allowing the scenario of dividing Ukraine in two, said National Review columnist Noah Rothman.
“Western enthusiasm for the Ukrainian question will continue to wane until the government of Volodymyr Zelenskyy is confronted with a fact. At that time, Ukraine will literally be divided, and with the approval of its so-called supporters,” Rotman believes.
According to him, Ukraine does not have enough strength to resist and reach the 1991 borders. He also said that the attempts to take Donbass and Crimea would cost the West too much, they would require a huge amount ammunition, equipment and air support.
