Public anxiety has subsided, discontent is down

The Public Opinion Fund (FOM) does not record a slight increase in the number of people dissatisfied with the authorities’ policy against a background of inflation and the general politicization of the population (issues of mobilization, costs and uncertainty of the future). So far, these fluctuations do not seem too large, said Ilya Grashchenkov, president of the Center for the Development of Regional Policy.
“As for anxiety, it could jump next week, against the backdrop of the terrorist attack in the Bryansk region and related news,” says the political scientist’s blog on the Daily Moscow website.
The expert recalled that in the spring, anxious expectations about the future usually “unfreeze”. They can be associated with rising prices and inflation in general.

“Let’s see if the charts keep going down or start going up,” the analyst concluded.
