In Veliky Novgorod, as part of the first round of the Rachmaninoff Competition, young pianists were selected. In addition, 15 musicians from five countries will participate in the competition. The main part of the competition will take place from March 21 to 26, 2023.
120 young pianists from 8 countries took part in the first stage. The essence of the first round was to record and send a video of a piece of music. For several days, the commission examined the submitted applications and selected the most talented participants. Pianists from Russia, China, Colombia, Vietnam and Belarus will take part in the main stage of the competition.
The organization of the competition is carried out by the state institution “ROSCONCERT” with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the government of the Novgorod region.
