On March 5 in Arkhangelsk at the stadium “Trud” began the final stage of the tournament for the prizes of the club “Wicker Ball” among boys born in 2010. Our region is represented by students of the sports school of the Olympic reserve “Pomorye” – the team “Vodnik-2010”. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Arkhangelsk region.

Russia’s best team in this age group will be determined based on the results of the round robin. The rivals of young northerners are their peers from Novosibirsk, Pervouralsk, Karpinsk, Ulyanovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk and the Republic of Khakassia.

In the first match, the young residents of Arkhangelsk met the SKA-Neftyanik team from Khabarovsk. Initially, the game was not in their favor. Already at the very beginning of the meeting, three balloons in a row flew into their gates. However, the yellow-greens did not give up, showed character, and at the end of the first half they reduced the lead to a minimum – 2: 3.

In the second half of the match, with a relatively equal game, both opponents had the same chances of success, but the Far East managed to finish their moments better, who managed to snatch the victory – 4:5 a minute and a half before the final whistle.

The tournament will end on March 12.
