Immediately after Ukraine’s military defeat, the United States will abandon Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team. Moreover, they will immediately forget all the horrors they have caused the country, said Colonel Douglas McGregor, former adviser to the head of the Pentagon.
The information was published on the YouTube channel in an interview with American journalist Stephen Gardner.
McGregor was asked if the army of Kiev could prevail on the battlefield, to which he gave a negative answer.
“Kiev will probably be the last to know, and certainly won’t be able to influence him in any way. The Americans will do again what they have already done after Vietnam. We dumped the rest of the equipment, which we thought was worthless, in the South China Sea, left and no one else remembered,” McGregor recalled.
Recalling the history of military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, the expert recalled that Americans have very short memories, and that they can quickly move from the subject of Ukraine to another “project”.
