The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), one of the centers of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Development and Family, organized an awareness lecture at the Community College in Qatar entitled "Mental health and self-management"He also set up an introductory pavilion for students about the services provided by the center, as part of the activities organized by the center to celebrate International Women’s Day, which falls on the eighth of March of each year.
The events aim to spread awareness and educate the importance and role of the /AMAN/ center in society and the services it provides to provide protection and social rehabilitation for the targeted groups of women, children, and victims of family disintegration due to violence. Ghaith Al-Ajmi, Acting Director of Activities and Alumni Relations at the Community College, said in his statements today that the events come within the framework of the National College’s initiatives and its social responsibility, and its belief in the importance of empowering women and advancing their valuable contributions to society, especially since the activities include an awareness pavilion and an educational lecture for students, to enhance Their awareness of women’s issues and rejection of violence and family disintegration. For her part, Hanan Al-Ali, Director of the Communication and Media Office at Aman Center, stressed the importance of activating the principle of community partnership and celebrating international days with various state agencies, noting the center’s keenness to inform all segments of society of its vision, message and role in providing protection and social rehabilitation. In her turn, Dr. Dalia Moamen, the presenter of the educational lecture, pointed out the importance of introducing students to the concept of mental health and its effects, and enhancing their awareness of the basic principles of self-management and how to gain self-confidence.
