On the evening of Sunday, March 5, 2023, the last basketball game was played for the championship of the Northwestern Federal District Women’s Youth Championship, called “Locobasket School League”. Two teams of young women entered the basketball arena. The Kaliningrad region, as in the men’s final, was opposed to the Leningrad region.
The match, as in the men’s meeting, consisted of four segments. The information was shared by the Lokobasket – School League press service on the VKontakte social network.
The basketball game went off without a hitch. The Leningrad region took the initiative from the first minutes and after the first segment of the match got a comfortable advantage – 3:19. But the team from the Amber region was not going to give up quickly and reduced the gap in the second half. However, the Leningrad region was unstoppable, the third period – 0:18. In the final segment, the girls set the final result – 25:84 (3:19, 14:29, 0:18, 8:18) in favor of the Leningrad region.
As a result, Baltic athletes won silver medals, taking second place in the NWFD Lokobasket School League Championship in the 2022/2023 season.
