More than 600 units took part in the fight against snow in the Murmansk region

Last week in the Arctic turned out to be particularly snowy. Utilities had to work around the clock to ensure high-quality cleaning of the territories.

On Monday, March 6, the press service of the government of the Murmansk region reported on the results of snow control works in construction sites and streets of the region.

Due to the fact that the previous week was very snowy throughout the Kola Peninsula, utilities worked in the enhanced mode, snow removal was carried out around the clock.

In total, more than 600 special equipment units were deployed to battle the elements, and 2,838 personnel were involved. The volume of snow removed from roads and streets in the Arctic amounted to more than 53,000 cubic meters, and from yards – more than 17,000.

We will remind, earlier “MK in Murmansk” said that residents of Kirovsk complained in social networks about the poor quality of cleaning the city from snow.
