The MTS digital ecosystem conducted a survey among Russians on the eve of March 8 on what gifts women would like to receive and what men will give them. In the list of expectations of the inhabitants of Pomorye, flowers and jewelry are at the top.
What do women want on March 8?
A third of women said they would like to receive flowers on March 8, 28% dream of jewelry as a gift. Perfumery occupies third place: 18% of women surveyed dream of it, 16% want to be presented with smartphones and gadgets. The clothing and footwear category closes the top five – 14% of the fair sex voted for this gift idea.
The 3 least popular gifts were computers and laptops (8%), major appliances (7%) and face and body gadgets (6%).
What do men plan to give women on March 8?
In general, men will be able to fulfill women’s dreams this year and give them exactly what they want to receive. Almost half of men surveyed plan to give flowers to their partner, and jewelry (24%) and perfume (23%) are also popular options. Another 15% of men will give their partners cosmetics for face and body care, 12% – smartphones and gadgets. The same number of respondents (11%) will offer their wives small household appliances, clothes and shoes, as well as certificates, so that their companions can choose what they dream of themselves.
More than half of those surveyed will spend March 8 at home, as it is a midweek day off. Respondents listed this option as the most popular celebration format.
Methodology:
1,700 Russians over the age of 18 took part in a survey by the MTS Research service devoted to March 8. Respondents were given the opportunity to complete an online questionnaire sent using an analytics service based on MTS Big Data.
