Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin commented on the decision of the Main Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Artyomovsk. Recall that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny at the meeting decided to continue the defense of the city.
Prigozhin noted that the Ukrainian army “will” be for the city to the end and will not leave it. He also added that Artyomovsk would be successfully taken by the Russian forces if each of the units did their job competently. In this case, the Ukrainian military group will not be able to take the initiative, and the defense of Artyomovsk will fall.
According to the expert, the armed forces of Ukraine are continuing the fierce battle of Artyomovsk for a reason. Focusing on Syrsky’s comment, it can be summarized that defending the city is tied to trying to gain maximum time to prepare offensive resources.

Earlier, the regional head reported that the Wagnerians replaced the Ukrainian flag on the T-34 monument in Artyomovsk with their own. The Russian army is one kilometer from the city center.
