Qatar: Qatar Charity launches the sixth edition of the Future Book Program

launched "Qatar Charity" The sixth edition of the “Book of the Future” programme, which is concerned with developing creative writing skills among school and university students, in the presence of a number of representatives of partner agencies.

The sixth edition of the program is attended by 228 schools of various stages for boys and girls, Qatar University, Doha University of Science and Technology and the Community College, as well as the Al Noor Complex for the Blind and the Audio Education Complex. Mr. Farid Al-Siddiqi, Head of the Local Projects Department at Qatar Charity, said that the interest in this program comes within the framework of keenness to contribute to cultural development, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, and to enhance the connection of its people with their Arabic language, and to be proficient in expression and writing in it in a creative way, especially the story, in addition to providing The cultural scene in Qatar is full of promising writers who contribute to the renaissance of their country and nation. He expressed his hope that the program will achieve a wider spread to provide a greater opportunity to discover the capabilities of the talented people of Qatar, noting that the sixth edition will pay more attention to the winners of the previous editions and highlight the development of their successful experiences. For her part, Maryam Al-Hammadi, Director of the Department of Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Culture, commended the efforts of Qatar Charity in this program, and the support of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for the program at the level of schools and universities, stressing that the Ministry of Culture encourages all parties to establish and organize cultural events for their role in promoting the cultural movement in society. She also called for launching more initiatives to facilitate the right to culture for all members of society. In turn, Mr. Abdullah Hamed Al-Mulla, Director of Student Activities Department at Qatar University, confirmed that the program is in line with the university’s mission that seeks to hone student talents. Positive with the academic environment, and the future labor market after their graduation. He noted Qatar University’s partnership with Qatar Charity in this program in training and arbitration committees through a number of its professors and experts, expressing his aspiration for the success of the current version of the program and its achievement of its desired goals.
