Tuesday morning, the Parisian high school Racine was blocked by students, according to Le Figaro. Between 1.1 and 1.4 million demonstrators are expected on Tuesday, including 60,000 to 90,000 in Paris, according to a French police source. In total, the union plans to organize 265 rallies in France. The demonstration in Paris will start at 2:00 p.m. local time (4:00 p.m. Moscow time) from Sèvres-Babylone in the direction of Place d’Italie. This time the unions have upped the ante, reports France 24. Unlike previous strikes, this week’s action has no predetermined end date. While workers are expected to strike in many sectors, life in France could stop for a few days.Teachers, gas and electricians, train drivers and industrial workers are expected to join the strikes, sparking nationwide riots that could last for days.
