The horse belonging to the leader of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov was stolen in the village of Krabchitse in the Czech Republic. The cost of a stallion named Zazou is estimated at 400,000 crowns (about $18,000), reports Idnes.
“Litoměřice police received a report about the theft of a horse from a stable in Krabčice. The theft probably took place on the night of March 3-4,” local police spokesman Pavel Kofrov said.
It is assumed that the attacker removed the safety chain with a rifle from the stable door and took away an English Thoroughbred breeding stallion. The kidnapper and the animal are wanted by the police.
The publication clarifies that the horse, along with other Kadyrov property, is “frozen” due to anti-Russian sanctions. The politician has owned the animal since 2012. The stallion successfully participated in the races, after which he became in demand for breeding offspring.
Last January, two Russian-speaking men intended to take a horse to Poland. However, the stable owner in the Czech Republic refused to do so.
Earlier, Kadyrov praised the two eldest daughters for being added to the EU sanctions list.
