The perinatal center provides specialized gynecological, obstetrical and neonatal care to women from 26 districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region, as well as to residents of the city of Dzerzhinsk. If we talk about obstetric technologies, then they are associated with the provision of medical care during gestation, in critical situations during pregnancy or childbirth. In such situations, the goal of the medical team is to save lives, preserve and restore organ functions, and carry out rehabilitation. One of the main sections of the center’s work is neonatology (medical care of newborn babies). The center pays particular attention to premature births. In the event that children are born with an extremely low body weight up to 1 kg or with a very low body weight up to 1.5 kg, qualified assistance is provided to the child.
This type of assistance comes in two stages:
resuscitation and intensive care stage; recovery phase.
The peculiarity of neonatological care in the center is the “open resuscitation” and the joint stay of the mother with the child. Maternal care and breastfeeding are an important element in the care and development of a newborn, regardless of gestational age and birth weight.
Vladimir Blotsky greeted the doctors of the Dzerzhinsky Perinatal Center, thanked them for their selfless work and congratulated them on the upcoming International Women’s Day. He presented a certificate of financial support to the center and participated in a good tradition, leaving warm words of gratitude for the team on a symbolic keepsake apple.
