Qatar Airways and Qatar Tourism announced the launch of the 12th Qatar International Food Festival on March 11 and will continue until March 21 at the waterfront in Lusail City. The global festival is scheduled to bring together many culinary experiences that include prominent names in the field of hospitality and distinguished restaurants, a cooking theatre, fireworks shows and live entertainment shows. This year, the festival will celebrate the best food in the world at Al Saad Square, Lusail Road where the famous Lusail Towers stand, and is the venue for the final celebrations of the FIFA,Football,Soccer,Football,Soccer World Cup Qatar 2022. His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Qatar Tourism said:" Qatar International Food Festival has proven to be one of the most popular festivals in Qatar, and this year it will present traditional dishes to most of the countries and destinations that Qatar Airways operates flights to.". He expressed his confidence that the food tourism sector in Qatar will continue to grow at great rates due to the attractiveness of the agenda of upcoming international events, and noted that the strong cooperation between Qatar Airways and Qatar Tourism will enhance the position of the State of Qatar as a global tourist destination famous for many events, sports competitions, festivals and food. The festival will include more than 100 booths featuring a variety of delicious food, in addition to a night cooking theater and two fine dining halls, in cooperation with a number of five-star hotels. The events will also include daily family-friendly entertainment, such as the skating rink. Attendees will be able to taste Indonesian food, as this year’s event will be held in honor of the Year of Culture "Qatar- Indonesia 2023". Visitors will savor dishes that connect the country’s diverse culinary traditions with a rich and unique flavour. The food festival will also witness a special Qatari cultural tent that includes local dishes and an interactive experience with a restaurant / Le Petit Chef / using 3D maps, in cooperation with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Doha. In addition, to celebrate the Expo 2023 International Horticultural Exhibition, which will be held next October under the slogan “Green Desert, Better Environment”, there will be a special booth with botanical gifts for visitors to the festival.
