The A-50 plane, attacked by Ukrainian saboteurs at the Belarusian airfield “Machulishchi”, did not suffer serious damage. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
According to him, the saboteurs specifically used a small unmanned aerial vehicle to attack the plane. That’s what helped them lead the attack.
Because a large drone would certainly have been detected by our means of detection, explained Alexander Lukashenko.
However, according to the Belarusian leader, even the use of a small drone did not help the saboteurs to destroy the plane. Alexander Lukashenko said the liner suffered only minor damage.
Fortunately, the plane did not receive any significant damage, except, as they say, scratches and a hole in the hull, which does not prevent the military aircraft from performing its duties. We showed you this plane. I was told that he even met the president when I returned from Beijing. Nevertheless, we asked the Russians to take this plane in service and send us another one. And it happened
– said Alexander Lukashenko.
According to him, representatives of the Belarusian opposition participated in the preparation of the sabotage. In this regard, the President of the country instructed the special services to carry out large-scale cleaning.
According to Alexander Lukashenko, 20 accomplices of the Ukrainian saboteur are currently detained. The others are hiding abroad.
