The Arctic Ministry of Natural Resources will spend 5.5 million rubles on the purchase of boats and cars

In the Murmansk region, 5.5 million rubles were allocated for the purchase of equipment necessary for the work of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Fisheries. Among the purchases will be cars, boats, motors and thermal imaging cameras for animal monitoring.

Most of the money, 4.8 million rubles, will go to big equipment. Thermal imaging cameras in the Arctic will be purchased for the remaining 603,000 rubles.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the region, the cars will be used for the supervision of the hunt. Surveillance will also be carried out for wild animals. Specialists will begin carrying out field surveys. Particular attention will be paid to the inhabitants of water bodies: pink salmon and salmon.

Thermal imagers will help regulate the number of wolves and bears. Here, it will be important to take into account the dangers that animals can pose to humans.
