Before March 8 in Yekaterinburg, flower sellers are trying to take advantage of the holiday hype. Vadim Nefedov told E1.RU that from 2018 to 2022 he also sold flowers from the trunk, and also about how this business works.
Vadim said that in 2018 he worked as a driver, his partner Mikhail sold flowers and helped the man “get into the business”. Mikhail told his colleague how to store tulips correctly, about the need to observe the temperature regime. The partners discussed where traffic is highest and decided on a flower outlet. According to Vadim, he was legally engaged in business activity – he had the status of an individual entrepreneur and entered into a rental agreement.
Mikhail helped Vadim buy flowers, which he successfully sold. According to the man, the tulips grown in the Urals are impressive in size and “look rich”.

— Dutch tulips are not comparable to ours, ours have a larger bud and a thicker stem. A bouquet of five Ural tulips is bigger than a bouquet of 15 Dutch tulips,” said Vadim Nefedov.
The man said the flower shop owners called the police and complained about illegal trade. Thus, they fought with competitors. However, violators were fined 500 rubles and continued to trade.
According to Vadim, for several years he has won many regular customers. For a few days of trading, he managed to earn 50,000 rubles.

He said the other competitors of the tulip sellers were those who sell mimosa. Vadim did not consider marketing such flowers, since they are sold in boxes – and there is no way to check the quality of the goods.
Vadim advised those planning to sell flowers to apply for freelance work and enter into rental contracts to avoid fines. A few months before the start of trading, you need to submit an application to the administration and receive an official response or conclude an agreement with the trading center.
