March 8, 2023, 12:42 – Public Information Service – OSN German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said Washington may well shift its focus from the Ukraine conflict to the Indo-Pacific region.

In an interview with Deutschlandfunk, Pistorius was asked if the upcoming elections in the United States would be a threat to support for the Kiev regime.

He replied that the Americans can always change direction, so the EU must coordinate its defense policy more coherently and “take responsibility”. Pistorius also added that a new president isn’t necessarily needed to change Washington’s course.

Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang, in turn, said Asian countries should not allow a repeat of the Ukrainian conflict in the region amid Washington’s attempts to promote the so-called “Indo-Pacific strategy”. .

He explained that the United States was actually helping to form conflicting blocs in the region by “trying to create a peaceful version of NATO in Asia.

Earlier, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he would like to see China support Kiev. He expressed the opinion that if China and Russia unite, then a Third World War is possible. Read more about the subject in the article of the public press service.
