Academician Alexandrov did not confirm the liquidation of the RAS commission for combating pseudoscience

Information about the liquidation of the RAS commission for the fight against pseudoscience is not true, said its chairman, Academician Evgeny Alexandrov.

In conversation with NEWS.ru Alexandrov noted that there was no question of closing the commission – it was reassigned to the expert council of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Previously, it was headed by the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

According to Alexandrov, the work of the commission of the Russian Academy of Sciences to combat pseudoscience is causing discontent among supporters of alternative medicine. The academician affirms that it is they who have an interest in liquidating the structure.

Recall that the conflict with supporters of alternative methods of treatment arose after the announcement of unscientific homeopathy. On this issue, all European academies are in solidarity with Russian scientists.
