Emma Heming, wife of actor Bruce Willis, has been accused of taking advantage of her illness to get her 5 minutes of fame. She has now responded to those accusations and says if she managed to get attention, then the goal has been achieved.
Emma and Bruce have been married since 2009. The actor was recently diagnosed with frontal dementia and Emma decided to do her part to raise awareness of the disease and advance research.
“I read something about me taking my ‘five minutes’ which is awesome means you listen,” Emma said in a video on Instagram yesterday.
“So I’m going to use those five minutes and turn them into ten because I’ll always be an advocate for my husband.”
Emma says she is determined to raise awareness about the disease and says the loved ones of those battling it are unseen heroes.
“Then I’m going to turn my sadness and anger into something good about what’s not going so well. Watch this scene because I’m not here to play.”
