For Tehran’s help in conducting the NMD, Russia has reached an agreement with Iran. Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin called such cooperation between states “unprecedented”, reports TASS.
It is reported that the main cooperation between Moscow and Iran will be in the supply of missiles and air defense systems. In turn, the Pentagon fears that Tehran has nuclear weapons, despite the fact that this is not stipulated in the agreement.
According to a representative of the US Department of Defense, a certain threat emanates from Iran, particularly in connection with the Russian Federation. It should be noted that the agreement between Tehran and Moscow was concluded in July 2022, but only now has it caused concern among Western colleagues.
Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that Russia is refraining from buying ballistic missiles from Iran. The Russian Federation fears a return of ATACMS missiles to Ukraine by the United States.
