Journalist Maxim Butkevich was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony for attacking civilians in Severodonetsk. The supreme courts of the LPR and the DPR denounce ill-treatment inflicted on civilians and the use of prohibited weapons, reports MK, quoting the RF IC.

It is reported that two other citizens of Ukraine, Viktor Pokhozey, were sentenced along with Butkevich to 8.5 years in prison and Vladislav Shchel to 18.5 years. The incident with the journalist, according to investigators, occurred on June 4, 2022.

It is reported that the Ukrainian journalist was in a peaceful area of ​​Severodonetsk, where there were no hostilities. In the area of ​​Gagarin Street, Butkevich opened fire on civilians from a German Panzerfaust-3 grenade launcher. As a result of the incident, 2 women were injured.

Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that Ukrainian Armed Forces militants in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) detonated the MiG-17, with the plane standing like a monument at the entrance to the city.
