US Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland has declared Crimea a legitimate military target for the Ukrainian military. His words provoked a strong reaction from the American public.

According to him, such rhetoric from Washington could lead to a direct war against Russia, since the country will not tolerate interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation.
