French President Macron said in a meeting with Sunak the intention of France and Britain in the near future to help Kiev with a “counteroffensive”.
French President Emmanuel Macron met with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and said both states were ready to help Ukraine in a counter-offensive against Russia.
“Our short-term desire is to help Ukraine survive and launch the counteroffensive it wants to lead,” Macron said in a statement.
Sunak added that the confrontation in Eastern Europe will always end with peace talks. Of course, for this, Ukraine needs to strengthen its position on the battlefield, the British Prime Minister concluded.
Russia cannot and should not trump Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron told a news conference earlier.
