Amidst a distinctive festive atmosphere, Al Sheehaniya Racecourse witnessed today the holding of the heritage race competitions that were held on the sidelines of the seventh day of the annual festival for purebred Arabian camel racing on the sword of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, for the season (2022-2023), which It is organized by the Camel Racing Committee at the fields of Al-Sheehaniya and Busayer, and its competitions will continue until the sixteenth of this March, with wide participation from various fields of the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

And the runs of the heritage race came "human passenger" The four, which was held during the morning, is strong and exciting in a traditional atmosphere, with three runs for Qatari contestants from (18-45) for a distance of 4 km, in addition to the Arab Federation run for contestants from (18-45) for a distance of 2 km.

Rashid Ali Al-Marri won the title of the first round for the age (18-45) for a distance of 4 km, after he ranked first with a time of 6.47.04 minutes, which is the best time in all runs, while Hadi Al-Qarh’s belt ranked second with a time of 7.03.74 minutes. While Hadef Saeed Kerh came in third place with a time of 7:14.68 minutes. Abdullah Andela’s belt won the title for the second round for the age (18-45) for a distance of 4 km, after he ranked first with a time of 6.52.02 minutes, while Ali Belt Andila ranked second with a time of 6.59.40 minutes, while Nasser Hamad Al-Shahwani came in the center. The third, with a time of 7.06.38 minutes. Fahd Hamad Al-Marri won the title of the third round for the age (18-45) for a distance of 4 km, after he ranked first with a time of 6.57.42 minutes, while Rashid Hadi Al-Qarh ranked second with a time of 7.09.04 minutes, while Saeed Hamad Al-Qarh came in the center. The third, with a time of 7.09.76 minutes.

Finally, Kuwaiti Ali Hamad Al-Marri won the title of the fourth round of the Arab Union, which is allocated to the age of (18-45) for a distance of 2 km, after he occupied the first place with a time of 3:10.11 minutes, while the Qatari Muhammad Abdullah Al-Qarah ranked second with a time of 3.18.21 minutes, while he came Omani Hamad Bakhit Al Owaisi came in third place with a time of 3:20.75 minutes. It is scheduled that the activities of the festival will continue on its seventh day, with 34 rounds for doubles competitions (public runs) for a distance of 8 km, with 20 runs in the morning period, including 12 rounds for virgins and 8 runs for doubles, and 14 runs in the evening, including 8 runs for doubles. Bakkar and 6 runs for the two-seat, and between them are 6 silver tokens. Tomorrow (Saturday) there will also be competitions "Marathon run", which is held for the first time on the sidelines of the festival and under the supervision of the Arab Camel Federation headed by Mr. Abdullah Muhammad Al-Kuwari, with the participation of contestants from six Arab and Gulf countries, namely Kuwait, Mauritania, Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya, as well as Qatar. The marathon competitions will be held in the field of Cyrenaica, and its distance exceeds 16 kilometers between walking, running and camel riding in strong heritage competitions, which are expected to witness extreme excitement and rivalry among all the participating contestants.

On a related level, preparations are continuing to hold the second edition of the Camel Handball Championship at the level of His Highness the Emir Al Mufdi Camel Festival, during the period from 12 to 15 March, with the participation of teams from six countries:" Qatar, Kuwait, Mauritania, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. The championship competitions will take place in Lebasir Square, after the participating countries were divided into two groups, to play one-round competitions, provided that the first and second of each group advance to the semi-finals, and then the winners qualify for the final match.
