Qatar: The municipality closes a butchery, a restaurant and a grocery store in Al Wakra and Al Khor for handling food in unsanitary conditions

Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Municipality announced the closure of two food establishments in Al-Wakra for handling food in unsanitary conditions.

The ministry said on its Twitter account: Al-Wakra Municipality issued two administrative decisions to close "Butcher saga" 7 days, and"Zakreet Restaurant" 15 days, for violating Law No. 8 of 1990 regarding the regulation of human food control.

And the ministry added in a second tweet: The Municipality of Al Khor and Al Thakhira issued an administrative decision to close "Sago Grocery" 5 days, for violating Law No. 8 of 1990 regarding the regulation of human food control.

The Ministry of Municipality notes that determining the duration of the closure is due to the discretion of the competent municipal director according to the type and severity of the violation as determined by the law, pointing out that the duration of the closure does not exceed 60 days at a time, and the closures multiply by repeating the violations, indicating that it is not permissible to open the closed shop or start the activity Or maintenance work throughout the closure period, and violating that entails criminal liability.
