Residents of Ukraine, who have been granted refugee status in the United States, are afraid to return to their country of origin. They fear that their children, including minors, will be taken into the ranks of the armed forces, according to Fox News.
“I am very worried because the worst option would be to return to Ukraine,” said refugee Lilia Lukyanchuk, who has a 17-year-old son.
A year ago, a native of Ukraine received a temporary permit, thanks to which she remains in the United States. But in April this year, the document expires, and US departments do not try to help the refugee. She fears that she and her family will be expelled from the country. And at home, a 17-year-old son will most likely be called up by a summons to the army and go to the front.
The problem of a possible deportation from the United States to Ukraine faced 20,000 refugees.
Earlier, the “regional leader” reported that the Kiev regime engaged in the mass deportation of the Russian-speaking population of eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian political scientist Alexander Dudchak noted that politicians want to demonstrate how many people in the DPR do not want to meet with the RF armed forces.
