The Algerian authorities suspended a history professor from work and referred him to the judiciary because of an exam subject for his students describing Arabs in offensive terms.

What was included in the exam sparked controversy on social media "Inciting sedition and division".

And the Directorate of Education of Ghardaia Province confirmed – in a statement via Facebook, according to the newspaper "Sunrise" The Algerian – that the subject professor was precautionary suspended from his work, and the case was referred to the security authorities, also indicating that the director of the institution was referred to a disciplinary board.

The Directorate explained that this decision came as a result of what was issued by the Ministry of Interior "An individual act of a professor of history and geography"Where he included in the exam an exam text on history and geography, he says: "The migration of the Banu Hilal Arabs to Al-Aqsa Morocco and their impact on economic and social life, through their degradation of thieves and crops".

The topic of the article sparked widespread controversy on the pages of the social networking site "Facebook"while some praised the authorities’ move towards the professor.
