The former President of the European Parliament also recalled the difficulties linked to the existence of the principle of unanimity in the EU. The official stressed that he would definitively support the continuation of the enlargement of the European Union, provided that this principle is canceled. Currently, according to Schultz, Hungary and Poland are creating obstacles for Ukraine to join the organization.
