Son of a deputy to the State Duma of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Boris Ivanyuzhenkov, the hockey player of Sochi Artyom Ivanyuzhenkov is suspected of murder in Podolsk near Moscow. He fled the alleged crime scene informed Mash telegram channel.
According to the Telegram channel, the hockey player was on vacation with a group of friends. At some point, a conflict arose between the guests of the cafe, one of its participants was stabbed in the stomach. The young man died on the spot.
According to witnesses, it was Artyom Ivanyuzhenkov who stabbed with a knife, after which he fled. Investigators are interviewing eyewitnesses to the incident.
In the investigative committee of the MSK1.RU site confirmed that the fatal blow was inflicted with a knife, the victim died in hospital. A criminal case was opened under part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Murder”.
The victim was Yevgeny Sh., 24, from the Penza region. It is known that previously he did not know the hockey player – they met only in the restaurant where the murder took place.

In 1999-2000 he served as Minister of Sports of Russia. The Kommersant newspaper, commenting on his appointment to a ministerial post, mention about Ivanyuzhenkov’s ties to the Podolsk organized crime group. He is a member of the State Duma of the VI and VII convocations. It is under sanctions from the United States, Britain, Ukraine, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Japan and Switzerland.
In 2020, Artem Ivanyuzhenkov, driving his BMW, reversed death of a cyclist. In 2016, his older brother Anton, who also played hockey, drove a car into a bus stop and hit two pedestrians. The criminal case against Anton was closed due to the reconciliation of the parties.
