The prime minister is convinced that the powers have “great potential” for “promising” mutually beneficial cooperation and should increase bilateral trade, which nearly reached $760 billion last year. Nevertheless, Li Qiang is convinced that some people are still trying to escalate the situation, stoking the “hype” around the discord between the countries.

The new Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China devoted most of his speech to economic development plans

“The blockade and the pressures are in no one’s interest”, summed up the politician. Along the way, Li called for joint efforts between Beijing and Taipei to establish contacts on the painful Taiwan issue, the resolution of which he said is a “common aspiration”. The Chinese authorities will continue to promote economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between mainland and island China based on the one-state principle and the 1992 consensus, the premier said. Li Qiang also spoke about the development prospects of the SARs of Xianggang (Hong Kong) and Macao (Macao). “I am sure that with the strong support of the motherland and the institutional guarantees of the ‘One State, Two Systems’ course, the positions and roles of Hong Kong and Macau will only be strengthened, not weakened,” he said. the Prime Minister. He announced the continuation of economic support for the autonomous regions and their “active integration into the country’s overall development scheme”.

The new Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China devoted most of his speech to the country’s economic development plans. He acknowledged that the factors of instability and uncertainty challenge the whole world, including China. Li Qiang said that following the results of the past two months, positive momentum has been registered in the Chinese economy: stability and a recovery trend have been demonstrated. The prime minister explained that to try to achieve the goal of ensuring China’s GDP growth in 2023 at the level of about 5 percent, the state must redouble its efforts. In addition, in the future, Beijing intends to shift the focus from meeting the basic needs of citizens to ensuring a better quality of life for the people. To implement this initiative, it is necessary to develop the country’s innovation potential in science and technology, create a modern production system and promote the “green” transformation of the development model. However, according to experts, the promotion of technology projects can become a significant asset in the sleeve of Mr. Li because of his great experience in this field.

The Prime Minister spoke of the support of private companies “for development and prosperity” and state aid for “fair competition”. In addition, Mr. Li promised to expand employment channels. “When so many young people enter the job market, they bring energy and vitality to our society,” said the Prime Minister. Despite the challenges facing China, Li is optimistic and is already setting sail on the frigate of China’s economic stability. “I am convinced that the Chinese economy will be able to face the wind and the waves and that a bright future awaits it,” concluded the Prime Minister.
