The Iranian authorities have announced the arrest of more than 100 people as part of an investigation into a series of poisoning cases involving hundreds of schoolgirls.

The Iranian Ministry of Interior said in a statement published by the agency "Erna" For the official news "More than 100 persons involved in recent school incidents have been identified, arrested and investigated".

But she pointed out that "Among those arrested" persons "They did so with hostile motives and with the aim of spreading terror and panic among citizens and students, closing schools and creating suspicions towards the state".

The statement added: "Fortunately, since the middle of last week until today, Sunday, the number of accidents in schools has decreased significantly and there have been no reports of cases of poisoning among students.".

Since the end of November, day after day, the phenomenon of schoolgirls smelling odors has been repeated "foul" or "Unknown" Then, symptoms such as nausea, shortness of breath, and dizziness appear. More than five thousand schoolgirls in about 230 schools in 25 out of 31 governorates have been affected.
