Police search for man after shooting Dubliners

Capital Police have sent out an announcement about a shooting which took place inside the Dubliners pub early this evening. DV reported and released photos and video from the scene, but the special force was called in because of the attack.

A police announcement says two local guests were lightly injured in the attack, but the shooter is now wanted:

“Directly from At 7:00 p.m. this evening, the capital’s police received a report that a man walked into the Dubliners at Naustina in central Reykjavík and fired a shot inside the place. The shot bounced off the wall of the bar. The man then immediately fled. The police reacted quickly and sent a large team to the scene with a special force and paramedics were also called. The police responded armed and was on high alert. No one was seriously injured, but two diners at the venue received treatment, one with a cut to the head and the other person concerned about his hearing. Shortly after , officers found a firearm near the scene. Police are now looking for the shooter and are encouraging the person to come forward.”
